Many 'Enterprise' & 'Gold Rush' Apples, Now to May

We're still open now through May 31 by appointment, which means to phone 620-597-2450 a day or two ahead and leave a message on our answering machine saying your name, when you'll come, and what you want to buy.  You can make an appointment to arrive here between 10 & 11:30 a.m., or between 1:15 & 4:45 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

We still have over 3600 pounds of harvested 'Enterprise' apples, and over 2000 pounds of harvested 'Gold Rush' apples, in large bins stored in our larger cooler.  I'll sort apples out of those bins all winter and spring, so we'll have both 'Enterprise' and 'Gold Rush' harvested apples for sale until about next May.  Call ahead to order them, though, so I can have them sorted, cleaned and packed for you when you arrive here.

We still have many harvested 'Gold Rush' (yellow apples at left) and 'Enterprise' (red apples at right) for sale now until about next May.

'Gold Rush' apples taste much better now that they've been stored for 2 months in the cooler, as starches have converted into sugars and they've gotten very sweet.  'Gold Rush' apples keep well in our cooler or your fridge for 10 months, staying very crisp, juicy and sweet.  'Enterprise' apples keep well in our cooler or your fridge for 6 to 8 months.

I eat a raw 'Gold Rush' apple every day with my lunch, from January until we sell out of them.  My husband Bill eats a raw 'Enterprise' apple each morning for breakfast.  Both 'Enterprise' and 'Gold Rush' apples are great for baking and cooking too. We also still have small amounts of a few other apple varieties from my apple breeding program, and I give taste samples to those interested in buying these apples.

We sell #1 harvested apples for $1.42 per pound + sales tax.  We sell #2 (2nds) apples, with cracks or other surface damage, for $1.08 per pound + sales tax.

We pack the #1 fruit directly into 2 bags in each box, which I weigh to 20.0 pounds.  If you get a 20-pound box of apples, the price goes down to $1.37 per pound + sales tax.  So a 20-pound box of apples costs $27.36 + sales tax, and you save $1.00.

We sold out of all pecans for the season in mid-Dec.  We'll have harvested, cracked pecans for sale again starting in mid-Nov. 2023.

For payment, we accept cash and checks (from any state), but NO credit cards or debit cards.  We have no phone line to the sales building, and no card reader.  Please bring your checkbook or enough cash to cover the amount you want to buy.  Thanks.
